Knights Welcome New Club Chaplain, Chris Wroot

Doncaster Knights are pleased to welcome Chris Wroot to the Knights family. Wroot will be our brand new club Chaplain to provide support for our players throughout the season.

Wroot says: “I am honored to accept the role of chaplain for our local rugby team and to be part of the Knights Rugby family. As an ordained priest in the Church of England, I currently serve the mission area of Warmsworth, Balby, and Wadworth with Loversall.”

“With over 30 years of experience in local government, I have had the privilege of working with communities across a diverse spectrum, fostering relationships built on trust, respect, and understanding.”

“My skills in communication, active listening, and maintaining a non-judgmental stance are the cornerstones of my ministry. My strong faith and commitment to service guide my approach, ensuring that I offer support and prayer to all, regardless of their background or beliefs.”

“Coming from a rugby family, I have always appreciated the safe and friendly atmosphere that rugby fosters. I am eagerly looking forward to this exciting opportunity to work with the team and the wider Knights Rugby family. My goal is to provide a confidential, supportive, and prayerful presence, helping to nurture the well-being of all involved.”

“Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I am excited to journey with you and support you in every way I can.”

Everyone at Doncaster Knights is looking forward to having Chris around heading into what will be a very exciting season.
