Biography

Born in Teesside, Josh is an experienced rugby player considering his age, accumulating accolades such as Under 18 and Under 20 England appearances. Josh developed his love for rugby while at Hartpury College, before signing his first professional contract with his local Premiership club, Newcastle Falcons.

Williams then put his rugby on the back-burner and moved into a career with the Royal Marines, but has represented the Royal Navy’s rugby team on numerous occasions.

In 2021, Josh Williams was ready to resume his professional rugby career, and joined Cornish Pirates, however, his season was cut very short due to a long-term injury but came back better than ever in the 2022/23 campaign.

Last season, Josh only played four times as he continued to balance his career as an active serving member of His Majesty’s Royal Marine Commandos, but is ready and raring to go for the upcoming campaign with the Knights, and help us spearhead to new heights as a club.
